Welcome:  The Hawaiian Acres subdivision is located near Hilo, Keaau and Pahoa in the Kurtistown area.  It is one of the most popular subdivisions on the East side of the island.

Hilo is our primary business district with lots of festivals and cultural events year round.

Keaau is a quaint town with restaurants, grocery stores, an open air market and local restarrants.

Kurtistown, the nearest township is colorful and well known for its many restaurants, grocery stores, hardware, art, clothing and more.  It is a place where virtually all of your needs can be satisfied. The town is very eclectic with all of the old buildings and "good ole days" feeling.

The Kapoho Hot ponds are near by and from Kalapana you can see the Lave flow.

Golf: My personal favorite golf course on the island is the Hilo Municipal Golf Course with Kama'aina rates for green fees priced at $40.00/ for a full calendar month!  Can you say Aloha!

Best of all from this home, it is only a 25 minute drive away.

Also about 20 minutes away in Hilo is the Naniloa Golf Course.  They have a seniors special between 7 and 7:30 am, green fees are $10.-: WOW, Now that's a deal for golf!

Lot's of my friends like to play the Volcano Golf Course, and for good reason.

If you really want a challenge try Waimea or Sea Mountain at Punulu'u, which are both about an hour's drive.
